SERG is known for conducting relevant and rigorous research on the large-scale engineering of software systems, which have significant impact on industry and society. We particularly use empirical research methodology for long-term industry-academia collaboration.
Current areas of research include Software Startups, Requirements Engineering, Software Testing, Continuous deployment and experimentation, Industry-academia collaboration, Cognitive aspects of software development, Open source and data ecosystems, Software Process Quality, and Software Management. We also study aspects of the Digital Society in cross faculty settings.
We teach undergraduate and graduate courses in software engineering, which provide knowledge and understanding of large scale industry contexts.
